Krazy Kory at the Mall of America

Shortarmguy with family and Krazy Kory at the Mall of America December 20, 2009
On Friday, Luke went to the doctor and received a Holter Monitor to wear for 24 hours. He has an appointment with his cardiologist in about a week and he’ll be using this data to determine if Luke needs to get a Pacemaker or not. Needless to say, we’re all rooting for Not!
On Friday night, we were fortunate enough to experience an overnight visit from our good friends, Krazy Kory and Krazy Kelli!
All was good for the first 5 minutes of their visit, but then the Krazy Kory Adventure began again. Kory came into the house and said his tire was leaking and we needed to take it in right away to get fixed. It was then determined we were too late for that so we pulled it into my garage and took off his wheel. Unfortunately, we weren’t thinking about the fact that we were effectively blocking our other two modes of transportation in the process of doing this.
So the wheel came off and we couldn’t get the new one back on. Kory determined that the Jeep wasn’t high enough for the full spare and so we tried to jack it up higher. His was as high as it would go, so we then pulled out one of mine and tried to jack it up higher. Unfortunately, mine wasn’t strong enough to hold his jeep, it started bending and near catastrophe was prevented by lowering it back down on to the original jack. I helped Kory by doing what I always do when I need to work on something mechanical. I called Miss Sheri to come take care of it for me.
So we continued to try resolve the situation and made error after error after error. It was quite similar to an old episode of I Love Lucy when Lucy tries to change a tire. We finally wised up ad called this dude from Prestige Towing who came over and fixed everything for us. He did a great job with the tire, but really made us smile when he pointed out Kory’s License Plate and Exclaimed “You know what Iowa stands for, don’t you? Idiots Out Wandering Around”. Kory told him he was both hilarious and original. Then he paid him and sent him on his way.
On Saturday morning, we all went to Avery’s basketball game and watched his team pull off a magnificent comeback to win their game and remain undefeated for the year. Then we headed to the Mall of America
These girls were really hoping to be able to buy these Rock Band T-shirts, but unfortunately the sizes available were primarily of those for young boys. So they just had to settle for placing their heads on these Young Boy Mannequins for about a half hour or so.
Kory wanted all my site visitors to know that he may not be able to change a tire, but he sure knows how to pick up Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders!
On Saturday afternoon, we went to see the movie Avatar in 3D. It was most excellent. Definitely worth giving it One Big Thumb Up. As Luke mentioned to me several times throughout the movie, “Dad, this takes 3D to a whole new level!” I must say, I have to agree with him.

I have been a long time reader and have submitted a few times. I didn’t know if this would be something you would like to share with your fans or not, but i thought you might. We are looking to get this program off the ground in January and just trying to get as much exposure as we can and i now you love a nice email of the week. Thanks for considering this one. Have a Merry Christmas.
